Happy Pride everyone! It’s been five months since Don’t Let Chacha Die was published and here’s an update.

Happy Pride Everyone! The celebration, encouragement and support from the queer and non-queer community during pride month always makes me feel positive and hopeful about the future. I love this time of the year with its first rays of summer fun: getting to wear sandals and summer dresses, collecting a stack of summer reads, enjoying the potted lilies blooming on my patio.

Time passes much too fast. The five months since I published Don’t Let Chacha Die has been a whirlwind of excitement and euphoria as well as a time of growth. My debut novel received fifteen awesome reviews on NetGalley with a 4.1 average rating, and the cover recieved forty-eight thumbs up (Congrats Ray Moth!!!!). Don’t Let Chacha Die’s time on Net Galley is ending soon on July 15, 2025. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who posted a review on NetGalley. Plus, thank you to those who have left reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and other places! I appreciate it so much and wish you wonderful and amazing things! I want to mention a review that really stood out to me. It was posted on Amazon UK by Steve Exeter. Exeter wrote, “Don't Let Chacha Die isn’t just a dystopian tale, it’s a call to action, a celebration of resistance, and a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.” Yes, that’s exactly what it’s supposed to be! Thank you Steve Exeter for your insightful and beautifully written review. Check out the full review here.

I sheepishly apologize, but it may take longer than I expected for So I Trusted Patrick to be released. You know when you suddenly decide to clean a storage closet and you pull everything out and messy piles cover the floor and you don’t know how all of the stuff fit in there in the first place? So I Trusted Patrick is in that state right now. I also got ADHD-distracted and started writing three GeneEarth standalone novels at once. Sometimes my ideas won’t stop branching off in every direction until the GeneEarth universe is so massive some pruning is required. But there’s no need to despair, a GeneEarth book or multiple books are coming. When I’m certain of the upcoming release dates, I’ll let you all know.

Just a heads up: I’m doing a Goodreads Giveaway starting Monday June 16th to the end of June! I will be giving away 100 Don’t Let Chacha Die kindle ebooks, so if you are in the US, and are interested in winning a free copy, don’t forget to sign up!
